Was anyone else disappointed in the season finale of "The Killing"?

I thought the premise of the show was that 2 detectives would work a
single homicide all season and solve it in the season finale. That
didn't happen!
Now I have to wait a year to find out who the killer really was?
Kinda sucks!
I can't help but feel cheated.
